AWARDED BID FOR U-HAUL® DEALERS’ July

2001, Agoura Hills, Calif.-- Electronic Clearing House, Inc. (NASDAQ:ECHO)
today announced
that U-Haul International, Inc.(NASDAQ: UHAL), the leader in the
do-it-yourself household moving industry since 1945, has awarded to ECHO
a bid for the U-Haul Check Fee Saver Program, which includes check
guarantee, check re-presentment (RCK) and check verification services for
its independent dealers who participate in the U-Haul Preferred Dealer
Program. ECHO
developed and manufactured the software and hardware that provide
inventory processing services for U-Haul dealers. ECHO
also processes and supports the daily transaction activity for over 15,000
dealers and was recently awarded the bid to offer credit card processing
to U-Haul independent dealers who participate in the Preferred Dealer
Program. ECHO
will enhance the software in the dealers' present system to include check
guarantee, RCK, check verification and check collection for the dealers’
non-U-Haul activity. This will reduce the amount of equipment the dealer
must have on the counter and simplify the dealer’s day-to-day operations
by being able to use ECHO
to support inventory, credit and check functions. “U-Haul
