CHECKAGAIN ADDS ECHO'S NCIS DATABASE TO  SERVICE

Agoura Hills, Calif.-- Electronic Clearing House, Inc. (NASDAQ:ECHO) announced that CheckAGAIN, a Virginia-based provider of electronic check processing solutions with web-based reporting, has expanded its check authorization offerings to include access to ECHO's National Check Information Services (NCIS), one of the nation's largest and most cost-effective check verification databases. ECHO provides check verification services to large retail chains, processors and collection agencies across the nation and over the past six years, has built the NCIS database identified as the sixth largest check verification database in the country in 2000 in The Nilson Report.

  "The NCIS database holds over 12 million records of bad checks and over 40 million positive checking account records.  With CheckAGAIN as a new contribu tor and user of NCIS, we expect the value of NCIS to increase significantly", stated Don Dick, President of ECHO's Boulder-based subsidiary.
