ECHO APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT

Agoura Hills, Calif.-- Electronic Clearing House, Inc. (NASDAQ:ECHO) announced the appointment of Mr. Geoffrey Masaki as Vice President of Special Programs.  Mr. Masaki will report to the Company's Chief Information Officer, Mr. Larry Brown. 

Mr. Masaki joined the Company in July, 1997, programming terminals as a Senior Project Leader.  In October, 1999, he was designated Director of Special Programs, managing web-based projects. Prior to joining ECHO, Mr. Masaki was a Senior Systems Analyst for Software Dynamics, Inc. and has been performing technical and management duties in the computer industry since 1969. Mr. Masaki holds a BA degree in Mathematics from Occidental College in Los Angeles and an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
